FINALLY! Memorial Day Weekend is here! Do I have big plans? No. Is the weather supposed to be cold and rainy, thereby dashing my small courtyard plans? Yes. I’m not sure I even care. I’m just thrilled for the return of WFH Summer Fridays and because I got into several Peloton studio classes. Generally, things are good.

I don’t make it to all of Albert’s races, but I make the Brooklyn Half is a priority because it’s on a Saturday so you feel like you can really have fun, and it ends on Coney Island. There’s nothing better than a chili cheese dog for breakfast followed by an early afternoon of rides. Finn really got into it this year and is already talking about going back. And Albert PRd! It was a great day.

Albert was golfing on Sunday so Finn and I had a day hopping around the city. We started with a birthday party in the park and then headed downtown for an adventure. We went to a bookstore, candy shop, playground, and my personal favorite stop: Lombardi’s. It was Finn’s first time there, and I loved introducing him to the institution.

I love a fresh haircut and was generally feeling cute. Too bad I got caught in the rain without an umbrella and had to rush home to get some food in the fridge. Still, I read a good chunk of my book while in the chair and made time for a quick HMart run on the way so it was a nice evening overall – even if it wasn’t filled with an exciting night on the town like you sometimes crave after a haircut.
